170 Preformed Plywood Casings:
MCTK/D is a range of trunking systems designed for skirting and dado applications. All systems will accept integral socket outlets and have a comprehensive range of accessories for ease of installation. The trunking incorporates a rigid UPVC cable carrier offering three compartment separation.
The cable carrier is made up of a number of configurable components, which are supplied loose and ‘snap fixed' together on site prior to installation. Each component is black in colour, has a nominal wall thickness of 2 mm and has fixing location grooves for ease of installation. Top sections of the carrier system have a double membrane for the acceptance of screw fixings. The carrier base has an integral slot for the location of the preformed plywood fascia.
- MCTK systems have an exposed, black base extrusion, designed for skirting applications.
- MCTKD systems have a double return fascia, designed for vertical and dado applications.
- All plywood profiles have an internal angle of 115° and have radiused corners.

MCTK trunking is designed and tested to comply with BS 476: Part 4 (1982), clauses:
- 9.2 - Cable support.
- 9.3 - Impact (Medium Grade).
- 10 - Resistance to heat.
- 11 - Flame test.
- 12 - Insulation test.
The MC system is designed to accept all standard BS socket outlets for power, telecom and data. Sockets are site-fitted into the fascia sections. Apertures are cut in the desired location with the aid of a reusable template. A cavity socket box is pushed through the fascia from the front and the socket is fixed to this box. the socket box acts as a protective enclosure for operatives when removing the trunking for subsequent maintenance.
The product is supplied with discreet and decorative fixing screws, available in black or electro brass, with optional decorative screw caps in a wide range of colours. This screw is designed to self tap into the uPVC and can be removed numerous times for the fascia to be taken off for maintenance or subsequent wiring installation.
Where required, non-compatible services can be enclosed within the same trunking. Electrical services are contained within the MC cable carrier and heating pipes are segregated from services by using an additional timber divider. All services are then enclosed using Pendock Casing Systems. MCMX assemblies are also available and configurable to individual applications, using standard components - contact Pendock's technical department for advice and specification guidance.
The profiles are fixed to softwood battens, available as part of the system. When determining the size of the profile it is important to take into account the size and positioning of the battens.

Fixings:
Plug and screw fix all component parts of the carrier to the wall at 600 mm centres. Screw the fascia to the carrier with black / electro brass M3.5 x 25 mm Pozi CSK HL self-tapping screws at 600 mm centres, complete with decorative screw caps.
