Pendock Timber Column Casings
A range of timber architectural columns designed for traditional and modern settings where the presence of columns gives a feeling of structure in the surroundings whilst maintaining an open and spacious aspect. Applications include hotel receptions, office interiors, retail shop floors, public houses, bathrooms, lounges and doorways.
Columns are available in a wide range of diameters, finishes and embellishments allowing individual styles to suit almost any building interior. The standard manufacturing material is MDF but other materials, such as softwoods and a number of hardwoods, are available.
Column casings and embellishments, such as cornices, footbases and skirtings, are supplied in modular form for each of the diameters in the range.
The sturdy construction, with a minimum wall thickness is 35 mm, allows the columns to be self supporting, only requiring fixings to prevent movement. The design and manufacture allows brackets and other items such as light fittings, handrails and circular tables, to be conveniently attached to the body casings of any columns in the range.
The columns are available in 3 formats: Plain, Reed and Bead & Fluted.
Dimensions: 200, 305, 457, 610 and 762 mm external diameters.
Standard length: 3000 mm.
The casings can be supplied scored along the length ready for splitting for wrapping around and concealing services or steel columns.
Standard casings are not fire resistant. Fire resistant grades of MDF, in Class 1 and Class 0, are available and must be specified when ordering.
